The youth work team in West Edmonton is continuing to deliver breakfast clubs in five schools each week, monthly breakouts and monthly Cafe Fusions. Face to Face (our leadership training program) is happening every week and we already have other teens wanting to join when it begins again in the fall.Our youth work team continues to grow. We first met one of our leaders when she volunteered to be part of a street festival that we supported in downtown Edmonton last September. She is a high school student whose life is very full. We invited her to consider volunteering with us. She has since joined the breakfast club team at Ross Sheppard, where she is a youth worker with students her own age and older. She is also a peer leader at breakouts and plans to join our Cafe Fusion team. She has been a wonderful gift to our team. |
