|
Regional Training Day held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Richmond on 29th May. Participants reflect on their experience on the day:" I appreciated the time everyone took to deliver some in-depth information and answer questions people had. I learnt a lot about step by step ways to reach out to a community" "I appreciated the reminder and new perspective on Kingdom Living and mission ... and also getting to spend time with new people... thank you for teaching me." "I appreciated how everything is scripturally based and the in depth conversations about relationships and values. " I, Jessica, really appreciated being a part of this group of people. It's exciting to learn and share together. I was very grateful to have people from the community takng on different things like worship. It's great when we can use our skills and talents to serve God and others.
We started off the day with some worship and then went into our first session/Bible study on what it means to live in the Kingdom now. Throughout the day we a number of workshops on the process of mission, the process of youth contact and outreach, festival training and the process of the festival, research, interactive role-plays on entering a crowd for the first time and content & process. Lastly we talked about what an advent pageant is. Overall, the day was a busy, but refreshing one!
The plan is to do 3 Regional Training Days a year. The next one is on October 30th. Location will be worked out closer to the date. Mark it in your calendars!
Thanks to all who participated on Saturday!
